We started with Giant Schnauzers as a hobby in 1979 by actively competing with our own dogs, Ulla with BERIES FRICA and Reijo with TOMTEBORGENS TIFFANY “Fani”. Fani achieved the titles of Finnish and Swedish Beauty Champion and competed as a tracking and messenger dog. Frica achieved the titles of International and Scandinavian Beauty Champion as well as Finnish Working Champion. These two bitches were a good base for breeding.

Our first litter was born in 1982 and since then we have bred several International, Scnadinavian, Finnish, Swedish and American Champions, as well as Finnish Working, Obedience and Ski-pulling Champions, not to mention several good results in working dog competitions, shows and rescue dog trials. All this is very much due to the active owners of the dogs.

As a recognition for our breeding work of black Giant Schnauzers, the Finnish Kennel Club has awarded us with the Vuolasvirta-award in 1993. The Finnish Giant Schnauzer Club has also awarded Reijo with a silver and Ulla with a golden medal.

From the dogs bred by us we especially want to mention INT & NORDIC CH ZIMYRS ZITA, FIN KVA (Working Champion) FIN CH FIN SKIING CH ZIMYRS MYREX, FIN CH FIN KVA FIN TVA (Obdience Champion) ZIMYRS MYRIK, S CH ZIMYRS MYRINA and our own dogs INT& FIN& S CH FIN Work CH ZIMYRS JONAS, which continued the lines from Frica and FIN CH ZIMYRS ESSY, which stayed with us to continue the lines from Fani. By combining these two lines we got our H-litter, which includes one Finnish Beauty Champion, several dogs which have been successful as working dogs, for example ZIMYRS HANNIBAL which got to just a few points away from the Working CH title. To the great part this litter has been character tested with good results. Our bitch line has been continued by ZIMYRS HENRIETTA successful in shows and her daughter ZIMYRS PETUNIA.

From the older dogs bred by us we also like to mention among others, FIN CH & Obedience CH ZIMYRS ATHOS, FIN CH ZIMYRS ANNINA and the fabulous sons of Jonas and Fani; ZIMYRS BRASSE, ZIMYRS BARREL and FIN Work CH ZIMYRS BRANDON. FIN CH ZIMYRS KESHIA and FIN CH & Work CH ZIMYRS LEFTY have both continued our lines as well as FIN CH ZIMYRS LIANNA and ZIMYRS LEONILLA. We would also like to mention FIN CH ZIMYRS ESMY, the dam of the successful L-litter.

From the Zimyrs dogs living abroad we would like to mention Am&FIN CH ZIMYRS IVORY and Am CH ZIMYRS PAVAROTTI as well as S CH, SB CH ZIMYRS ROMMEL and S UCH, Tjh, VS CH ZIMYRS SERAFINA, both living in Sweden.

Some dogs we would also like to mention are: FIN & S CH ZIMYRS ODEMIRA and FIN Ch ZIMYRS ROCCO, both dogs are also succesfully competing in working classes

We have also bought some new dogs to our kennel. In the year 1997 we got our bitch HELKE DE PICHERA from Spain. She has done very well in shows. 1998 we imported a male called GLORIS GAPE-SEED from Russian. He is handsom dog with a lot of character and he has allready got several CAC and CACIB´s in shows. In winter 1999 we brought female puppy, called SVARTA GALANTENS CERAFINA TO ZIMYRS from Sweden who´s mother is from our own lines and her father is an old Swedish male called INT & S & N Ch SV -92, -94, -95, -96 KBHV -94 MUSTA KOIRA`S MIKKO O`HAKKAS.

Elke (Helke de Pichera) and Gera (gloris Gape-Seed) are living with us and are the only giants we have at home for the moment.
